THAT GUM YOU LIKE IS GOING TO COME BACK IN STYLE.

I don’t think that I committed any atrocities while wearing this manicure, but I have no way of being sure.

If you didn’t get an adrenaline boost upon seeing this pattern, you probably haven’t seen Twin Peaks. You should see it; it is amazingly funny and chillingly creepy.

I had to get through those other boring manicures to get to this one. I had been planning it for a while, but I was waiting until necessity made my nails short enough to handle wraps better. Much better than my first wrap attempt, I think.

Enough of that creamy shit that shows flaws like nobody’s business; let’s have a metallic that shows flaws like there is no tomorrow.

Boy, I sure am bad at updating. And taking pics of paint jobs when they’re fresh.
On the other hand, I sure am good at accidentally getting my shoes in shots.

Polish was an Xmas present from my darling Hannah. Pretty fine, right?
The internet told me that topcoat ruins holo effects, but I showed them, didn’t I? TASTE THE RAINBOW~

Something airy to counteract the brutal manicure from before. This is the sort of pink that I actually quite like, but maybe that’s because of the blue flash.

Like a butterfly. Or a sunrise.

Oh wow, I totally failed to get a good picture of this. :c Sorry.
The red bored me more than I thought, and since I’d been wanting to encrust my nails for a while anyway, that’s how I decided to jazz it up. It ended up feeling a little less glitzy and more like a poison mushroom, though. Cool either way.
Lessons learned: while applying a layer of topcoat after placing the gems works pretty well to unify everything, it does dull the faceting some. Next time, topcoat up, then apply gems with glue.

Well this is one I wanted to do for a bit, but man did I ever not get a good shot of it (except by accident in shitty indoor lighting, see last pic).

I basically just layered every flakey I had in a neautral base in an effort to get an opal effect, though now I think it might be more mother of pearl. A super thick paint job, to be sure.

When I was little, I would have insisted that this colour was purely blue; I am just now slightly better at admitting that it’s actually a violet.
Did you know: it is pretty difficult to find extra-blue violet nail colours. I am pretty happy to have tracked this one down.

Ow, this hurts my eyes. Boy, I really hates it.

I kept putting more and more glitter on to see if it would help, but I don’t think it did. Lessons learned.

(Maybe I can give this manicure to Hannah one day.)

Mmm, more mustard. Special guest appearance from right shoe.
